WHY WE ARE USING EGG IN OUR RABBIT FORMULAS
Primal offers a range of proteins and product formats to best meet the needs of pets. Whether due to nutritional preferences, diet restrictions or food sensitivities, our Rabbit formulas have always played an important role in our product portfolio.
Unfortunately, due to continued challenges in sourcing enough high-quality muscle meat and organ meat to formulate complete and balanced rabbit formulas, we needed to find an alternative protein source.
We made the decision to add high-quality chicken eggs to our rabbit formulas so we can continue to offer this novel protein. The addition of egg ensures we will continue to deliver all the essential nutrients a pet needs in their complete and balanced diet.
WHY EGG IS AN EXCELLENT SOURCE OF NUTRIENTS
Our priority was to prevent introducing another type of meat to our Rabbit formulas, and egg was an excellent solution to deliver optimal nutrition with minimal allergy risk. Eggs are a great source of nutrition for both dogs and cats. Eggs provide:
-
PROTEIN AND ESSENTIAL AMINO ACIDS
-
IRON
-
FAT AND ESSENTIAL FATTY ACIDS
(LINOLEIC ACID, DHA) -
ZINC
-
PANTOTHENIC ACID
-
SELENIUM
-
RIBOFLAVIN
-
CHOLINE
PROTEIN ALLERGIES
While chicken is a common allergy for pets, egg is not! Egg is considered a less common food allergy than many alternate protein sources.
