This past weekend, we had the pleasure of attending the largest pet adoption event in the state of California — the Bay Area Pet Fair sponsored by pet specialty retailer, Pet Food Express. Since it’s inception in 2011, more that 5,000 pets have been adopted during the annual adoption event. For each animal adopted at the fair, Pet Food Express donates an additional $50 to the Bay Area Pet Fair, totaling more than $280,000 in the last 6 years.

For this year’s adoption event, The Milo Foundation brought in dogs and cats displaced by the wreckage of hurricanes Harvey and Irma. More than 70 rescues and shelters from around the state traveled with hopeful homeless pets in search of new homes.

Throughout the course of the weekend, Primal reps were able to meet with thousands of new pet parents and arm them with coupons, samples, and education on the benefits of a complete, balanced raw diet. More than 6,000 samples of Primal Freeze-Dried Nuggets were enjoyed by hungry, hopeful cats and dogs.

By the end of the weekend, more than 1,000 pets were adopted and went home with loving families.

Interested in attending next year’s Bay Area Pet Fair and adding a new addition to the family? Admission and parking and pets on leashes are welcome! Over 50,000 attendees turned up this year to support, learn, and potentially find a new furry friend to love.
